Position Summary: The Life Skills Support Teacher provides instruction and support to students with developmental, intellectual, social–emotional, or adaptive needs. The teacher focuses on daily living skills, functional academics, vocational readiness, social skills, and community integration, enabling students to achieve greater independence and success in school and life. This includes planning and delivering interventions, collaborating with classroom teachers, assessing students, and developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure all learners have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. The teacher works closely with students to ensure their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are implemented, monitored, and regularly updated to support progress in accordance with state-mandated educational standards.

The William Penn School District is located in southeastern Delaware County and serves approximately 5,000 students residing in the Boroughs of Aldan, Colwyn, Darby, East Lansdowne, Lansdowne, and Yeadon.
